Impact/Purpose:

This presentation fulfils EPA's role of providing technical expertise to local partners. Specifically, we will be highlighting how the Stormwater Calculator can be used for desktop evaluation of runoff and assessment of low impact development alternatives. These engagements serve to strengthen the relationship between EPA ORD and our customers and avails new opportunities for research.

Description:

This work will involve a presentation to the Tampa Bay Stormwater Management Public Education and Training Committee on the U.S. EPA's National Stormwater Calculator(SWC). This presentation will focus on describing the conceptual model underpinning SWC, capabilities of the calculator, its input data sources, the workflow for executing an assessment using the stormwater calculator including Low Impact Development (LID) controls. A hands-on demonstration will be performed to illustrate the capabilities of the software.
